    • $5 will help send a box of school supplies to Nicaragua.
    • $85 will build a latrine. Some communities have no, or very limited sanitation. Latrine construction helps contain the spread of disease and improves water quality. With the Institute, we will build 480 latrines over the next three years.
    • $225 will cover the costs for 50 people to take part in community workshops concerning latrine maintenance and water quality. (We plan to hold workshops for over 1,100 people on just this theme.)
    • $1200 will build a home. 700 families are homeless in these 16 communities. Thus, housing construction will play an important part of this initiative, including training in carpentry and other construction skills for people in participating communities. Tour a Networks of Hope home.
    • $3000 will supply clean water for a entire community. Though actual outlays will vary for each community, we anticipate than an average of $3,000 will be needed to build new wells, improve piping, and develop appropriate infrastructure to ensure water quality.
